What is VoIP Security?

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), a technology, using which we can make voice calls over the internet line without the need of a traditional/analog phone line.

The Voice over IP (VoIP) is developed to provide access to voice communication in any place around the world. In most places, voice communication is quite costly. On a PSTN line, every second spent on making calls amounts to additional expense. We are required to pay for each minute we communicate on the phone. VoIP solves this problem and many more. Since VoIP uses the internet as backbone, the only cost we have when using it is the monthly internet bandwidth bill. For that, internet access with decent speed is required. On the normal PSTN line, only two persons can speak at a time. With VoIP, we can set up a conference with a whole team communicating in real time.

A videoconference is a live connection between people in separate locations for the purpose of communication, usually involving audio and often text as well as video.
